Biography

Thomas Schneider aka Thompson music roots can be found in the hip hop culture of the 90ies. On his Travels in the Ruhrpott and to Berlin he was as Breaker, grafitti artist and MC active on countless jams. About Drum ‘n’ Bass, Jungle and Dub, he then found his Way to electronic music.

Together with Micha Buch he founded the project in 1999 “Les enfants de la rue” for experimental electronic Music and built his first analog sound studio Koblenz on. It was followed by the first live performances and open-air concerts. For three years, the two spent much time in the studio with classical sound designs synthesizers.

Thompson’s collaboration “Elodie & Thompson” gave him the opportunity to play in several clubs and beach bars at Ibiza in 2009 and
2011.

With his first EP released in 2011 on “Impulse Music” nationwide bookings, releases on other labels, remix request and collaborations with numerous artists followed as a direct result.

After successfully finishing his audio engineering studies at the SAE Institute in 2013 Thompson worked as a sound engineer for a couple of well-reknown TV productions. 2014 Thompson started working as a lecturer at the Modern Music School in Cologne. In 2018 Thompson started working professionally in the event industry.

Together with Jens Lissat, Thompson also operates the well-reknown record label “Monkey League”.
